What is CO2 Fractional Laser?

Just one treatment away from smoother looking skin.

Our clinic utilizes the CO2 Fractional Laser during the mole removal process. During this procedure, the CO2 fractional laser emits a focused beam of laser energy that targets and vaporizes the pigmented cells within the mole. The laser energy heats and breaks down the pigmentation while minimizing damage to the surrounding healthy tissue.
How safe is CO2 Fractional Laser?
FDA Approved
CO2 laser technology is FDA approved and widely recognized as a safe and highly effective method for removing moles.
Precise Targeting, No Scars
CO2 fractional laser treatment only targets specific areas while leaving the surrounding skin largely intact. The nature of this treatment promotes faster healing as the untreated areas surrounding the treated zones provide a source of healthy tissue that supports quicker recovery.

What should I expect during my visit?
Rin Aesthetics Clinic in Hong Kong offers mole/ wart removal treatment in a single session that lasts between 15 to 20 minutes depending on the area of treatment, with no downtime afterwards.
1.
A Thorough Checkup

Our Aesthetician thoroughly checks the mole/wart in question to ensure it is not suspicious and cause for further investigation by your GP
2.
Prior Treatment

The treatment area is numbed with an ointment that includes lidocaine (or a more potent alternative) before the CO2 laser mole removal procedure. This ensures that you won't feel any pain throughout the process.
3.
During Treatment

The laser focuses on the lesion precisely, reducing bleeding and minimizing the chances of infection. It exclusively targets the lesion, leaving surrounding healthy tissue unaffected.
4.
Post-treatment
After the procedure, a scab may form within 1-2 days, varying based on the mole/wart's size and location. Typically, the scab will naturally come off after about 7 days. Expect some pinkness on the treated skin, which may last a few weeks. Remember to apply sun protection for 3 months if the treatment was done on an exposed area such as the face, arms, or lower legs.
